We are currently looking for a talented and professional Tax Manager with technical competence coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Tax Managers will wear multiple hats at multiple times and need a broad business knowledge and understanding.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing multiple client engagements.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing complex tax returns including federal and multi-state returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, individuals and estates and trusts.
  • Tax returns for various sized family-owned or privately held entity tax returns.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, OCBOA and specialized accounting principles and financial statement presentation.
  • Building client relationships and understanding clients’ goals, and ability to guide clients to achieve those goals.
  • Ability to research complicated tax issues and provide accurate technical guidance to clients.
  • Provide high touch, customer service to our clients.
  • Ability to analyze the scope of the engagement to manage time budgets, bills and deadlines.

 

Requirements

  • 5+years in Public Accounting Tax management or leadership position
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, Masters a plus
  • CPA
  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is required
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and quick learner
  • Ability to work independently and also a team player

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday In Office 8:30-5:00 PM, Wednesday-Friday Remote
May be required to be in office for meetings on non-office days.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate deductions, withholdings, and timely payments to employees.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciling all accounts and preparing journal entries.
  • Monitor and analyze budgets and financial performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax laws is a plus.
